Message in a bottle

I have arrived in the Azores! Everything has gone well so far, I'll try to recount a short summary of the goings on from what I had written in the paper version of this journal.
While in Lunenburg: Everything is great, I'm making many new friends. Sail training is interesting, I got to go aloft (up the mast) earlier and it was great!
Day 1 at sea: Everyone is sick, so nothing really happened today, I seem to be relatively unscathed, thankfully.
Following few days: same as before
A few days after that everyone started getting better and things settled into a routine. My schedual is pretty busy, but I don't mind. I'm taking bio math and physics, but it feels like a lot of the nova scotia curriculum is a year behind what I've done, so it is pretty familiar. For example, we are doing quadratics in math 12. It does make my workload easier, either way. Learning to sail is great too, I went all the way up to the upper topsail a little while ago, I feel pretty nervous when I'm up there, but I'm told it's natural, and takes some getting used to.
I'm excited to be on land again, I think what I've missed the most (aside from people) were ice cold drinks, and greasy pizza. The food aboard is great, I would almost say it's an improvement on the shawnigan food. As for variety, we have had different meals every day, aside from the day when we had oatmeal for dinner because our excellent cook Dina was too sick to make it up to the galley.
One of the things that does bug me a little is when everyone says how they can't wait until such and such port. My personal philosophy aboard is to live in the present and enjoy every minute of it. I'm going to try to upload some pictures of the cabin and the boat as well. The sunset with this post was taken 30 nm off the coast of Florez, the Azores.
